Growing Tips
Light & Position
Thrives in full sun to partial shade. In warmer areas, providing some afternoon shade helps the flowers retain their delicate colour. Always keep the base of the plant shaded and cool—use mulch or low-growing companion plants.
Soil
Prefers moist but well-drained, fertile soil. Enrich soil with compost or well-rotted manure before planting.
Watering & Feeding
Water regularly in dry spells, particularly in the first year and during flowering. Feed in early spring and again after the first flush with a balanced fertiliser.
Pruning (Group 2)
Lightly prune in late winter or early spring. Remove weak or dead stems and cut back remaining stems to the first strong pair of buds. Light pruning after the first flush can encourage repeat flowering.
