Growing Tips
Light & Position
Thrives in full sun to partial shade. In hotter climates, light shade during the hottest part of the day will help preserve the intensity of the flower colour.
Soil
Best in moist, fertile, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Ensure the roots remain cool—use a mulch or plant shallow-rooted ground cover plants around the base.
Watering & Feeding
Water regularly, especially in dry weather and during active growth. Feed in spring and midsummer with a high-potassium fertiliser to encourage prolific flowering.
Pruning (Group 3)
Cut back all stems to 30cm (12 inches) above ground level in late winter or early spring. This stimulates strong new shoots and an abundance of blooms later in the season.
